Sasha Sorokina is a designer and creative technologist working across editorial, brand identity, interactive systems, and cultural research. Her practice connects graphic design with critical theory, building work that interrogates how meaning circulates, how culture accelerates, and how visual systems shape collective attention. Based in New York, she holds a BFA in Communication Design with a minor in Philosophy from Pratt Institute.

The work moves between publication design, generative web platforms, brand systems, and speculative interfaces, unified by a persistent interest in how images, symbols, and narratives accumulate power. Each project begins with research: into memetic ecosystems, post-Soviet visual archives, attention economies, or the mechanics of digital intimacy. The design follows the inquiry, not the other way around. This means the outputs range widely, from full-bleed artist books to interactive aura generators to cultural prediction engines, but the underlying method is consistent: identify a cultural structure, map its logic, then translate that logic into visual form. The result is work that functions analytically and aesthetically, that can hold complexity without losing clarity, and that moves fluidly between high and low registers without sacrificing rigor.

"An intellectually intense and theoretically sophisticated designer who moves fluidly between high and low cultural registers — from philosophy and theory to memes and junk food — without losing conceptual rigor."
— Sally Thurer, Professor of Communication Design, Pratt Institute
